Rhode Island-based bx.com releases pureCommerce 9.0
pureCommerce is a highly configurable and scalable eCommerce software product forging the way of the future. This version upgrade boasts a new Object Engine with performance improvements, more on demand features and even smarter tools.
This latest version includes Reward points, a system that enables merchants to reward registered members with points based on purchases. The member's Points account will track all transactions including paying for items with the balance of his Points account. Point enabled products can be purchased with points and their point value and reward amount are price types that can be used and entered by administrators. This, along with styling and related nomenclature variables, makes the Reward Point system highly configurable and offers an additional registration enticement to would-be members as well as contributing towards customer retention and loyalty.
An improved Account system logs entries and transactions for Money, store Credit and reward point accounts for each customer/member and business party.
A smart new Object Engine is in place and will be built on for future development and ultimate migration of remaining software elements. This new architecture will also facilitate more Web Services and published APIs in the future.
